I like forums, but I lose interest very fast.
I belong to lots of female type forums.
One about geisha, when I was doing a 10 page research paper on them.
One about Hello Kitty.
I occasionally lurk around Lost forums and stuff.
Sorry I'm not quite hip enough to belong to Automotive Tech.
I like forums because it's a good way to get information. People have a lot of experience that you can't find on the internetz, but they will relay said information in forums.
I am an encyclopedia of Geisha information, now.
It's kind of sad.

Web 2.0 refers to a perceived second generation of Web-based services —such as social networking sites, wikis, communication tools that emphasize online collaboration and sharing among users.
I like Web 2.0. I have a customized google web 2.0ish homepage. I can check weather, movietimes AND people.com in one fell swoop! I've also used YouSendIt to send music files to people. I also have a last.fm, but I haven't really used that as a social networking thing, yet. I deleted my old one because I had really terrible music taste, andI just recently re-made it. I really only keep a last.fm so I can see what my most played tracks are and whatnot. I have a couple friends added to my last.fm but i never leave them messages or anything like Facebook. I use Pandora, too, when I can't find the song i want on Youtube.
I'm also debating getting a flickr account.

DRM is dead. Even Steve Jobs admits it. DRM is a far too flawed system and it's too easy to get around. That's the problem with all of these copyright protection things.
It's just a big cat and mouse game. Internet pirates are infinately smarter and the populous is far greater than those fighting on the other side. There will always be some sort of softwear that one will be able to download to get around whatever protection they put on internet purchased songs.

March 19th Blog
CGI is used to digitally enhance a movie go-er's experience.
Most of the most recent award winning movies, or HUGE blockbuster movies have had large amounts of CGI.
For example - the 11 Oscars that Lord of the Rings: Return of the King won.
I often think that in every movie, there is a lot of CGI to touch up actor's facial features and whatnot - only the audience is never told about it so they are never the wiser. I have a theory that CGI is probably airbrushing for the movies.
Graphics enhance the aesthetics of all the movies. I feel sometimes it's no different then shooting something purposely in black and white. Or sepia tone, etc.
It's something that enhances a movie, but can also help tell a story.
How hard would be to watch LoTR without a Smeagol/Gollum?
It's like when you're watching Peter Pan on stage, and Tinker bell is just a bell and a beam of light.
You actually WANT to see Tinker bell and what she looks like.
Now, we can.
YES, dammit. I'm very female. Noted. Leave me and my Peter Pan refrences alone. >:E

I think the PS2 has staying power because it is a tride and true tested formula console type thing that doesn't suck, really.
It's a staple.
Kinda like...blue jeans.
I think the technology by 2015 will advance significantly. Look at how much we've grown from the N64 to the Wii.
I still like to play some N64 (Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time) every once and a while, but the appeal of the playing style of the Wii is so tempting.
But yet - I don't own a Wii?
I do, however, own a N64.
This could be because I inherit my consoles from my brother, who has his way with them and then tosses them to the side like an old christmas tree.
There's going to be a substantial amount of time for the PS3 to become popular and outsell the PS2. The technology for the PS3 is so advanced, and so FREAKING cool. But nobody is ready for it. There's a limited number of games, as well. I think in a few years, the PS3 will be a hot new item that everyone wants.
They have to release a sweet game or something for it, and then everyone will flock to it and the masses will do what they are meant to do.

My right as an online user include to do whatever you want with the DRM-laden music. They have the right to copy it into an mp3 format without the accursed DRM crap.
As an online user, I also have the right to not be harassed online. Which, they don't really respect. Because I get stupid people IMing me every day.
Couldn't you consider Spam e-mail harassment?
Websites are not liable for the comments that users leave on their websites.
Half of web users don't know their rights because they don't read the terms and services.
I don't.
School IT administrators feel anonymous proxies are the biggest threat because it, I think, threatens their iron grip on children in the school.
Proxies are used by children to rebel against authority!
Proxies block popular sites like Myspace, Facebook, Newgrounds, all the pr0n...
These sites are thought as a distraction and disruptive to the learning process.
But the thing is, proxies are just a huge game of cat and mouse because for every proxy that's blocked, there's another one that pops up.
Same goes for said 'disruptive' sites. Once Myspace loses all it's luster, Facebook pops up!

WTF @ TILA TEQUILA AND PEREZ HILTON.
bottom feeders, man. ESPECIALLY Perez Hilton. Like, really? How do people like that get famous. They revel in the exploitation of celebrities. Especially when he outs gay people. That really pisses me off.

Tila Tequila, I can understand. I didn't think she was nessicarily 'Important' or 'Influential' in any way, shape, or form besides encouraging younger female members of myspace to wear less clothes in order to become 'e-famous.'
Now, you wanna talk 'e-famous' for NO reason, talk Cory Kennedy.
Look her up.

You can earn your own Wikipedia entry by killing a man in Reno, just to watch him die. According to Bison, for every person you kill, you earn a paragraph on Wikipedia.
Also, if you happen to have news articles and such written about you by a third person source, you are more likely to get a wikipedia entry written about you.
2.) the stock market crash on said Tuesday was caused by a glitch in the software system used by the stock market. It stopped updating, so all the numbers were the same and then later it had to catch up and the stock market went like "wtf, mate?"

The attempts at stoping piracy are futile.
The big media corp's don't have the patience to find every e-pirate and hunt them down and prosecute them to the full extent of the law. Nor do they have the money for the attorney's fees for said prosecutions.
Nor do said e-pirates.
Grokster died when The Black Crows stopped making good records to be put up on Grokster for mass pirate consumption.
(Seriously. It's a conspiracy. Napster got shut down in July, 2001 and it was totally due to the death Perry Como two months previous.)
Whatever happened to the Black Crows?
They were so good. That "Hard To Handle" song rocked my face off. I mean, really, it melted it pretty good.
That was a face melting rock song in a time of mediocre "Closing Time" by Third Eye Blind songs.
Ohhh. The Black Crows..
(Grokster died when the United States Supreme Court decided that it was illegal to trade copyrighted material in that way.)
Media Defender does this dumb thing where they put blank songs up on file sharing services and piss me off to no end.
But it just further encourages me to find a real file with the actual song.
